I found the Fundamentals and More of EAP very beneficial. It is a must take course!!! It is an online training program with mega CE credits!!!! I completed the course with a full understanding of the history and framework of EAP, I learned the ins and outs of EAP, and I obtained practical hands on material that I immediately began to utilize with my non-EAP clients. Plus I received a free coaching/consulting sessions! This course particularly caters to the full-time professional who has a crazy busy schedule. We can work at our own pace and on our time from week to week. After taking this course, I was fully prepared, and most importantly I had confidence and a list of networking tools that landed me two EAP contracts within a couple of weeks! And I’ve started my own business and I am on my way to owning a successful and prosperous practice. Thank you Claire!!!!

The Fundamentals and More of EAP/EFAP course was truly a beneficial and positive learning opportunity. The course provided me with a very clear understanding of what EAP’s are, who they serve, and the role of the counsellor within the program.
There were many case studies that not only demonstrated possible EAP scenarios, but also were examples of clients you would see in any counselling environment. For the new counsellor, this was an effective way to obtain practical experience and for the seasoned counsellor, a good refresher on short-term, solution focused methods.
Definitely a good experience and one that I would highly recommend for anyone interested in EAP work as well as those wanting to stay on top of their basic counselling skills.

It is a privilege to comment on Claire’s premier on-line ourse: Fundamentals and more of EAP/EFAP. This 20 hour course is a must for any counsellor wishing to do EAP work. The program provides a contemporary EAP knowledge base, careful study of the essential counsellor competencies required to thrive in clinical application, key EAP business and consultation skills, EAP marketing expertise. Learners also practice comprehensive assessment skills via case study methodology and explore the doctrine of confidentiality and ethical standards in practice. As far as I can tell this is the only course of its kind composed in such a compact way specifically designed for counsellors practicing, or entering, the EAP/EFAP field. Of course it makes a world of difference that Claire is also a superb leader and highly talented presenter and subject matter expert.
